How to transfer a domain To GKG.NET

To transfer a domain from another domain registrar to GKG.NET please follow these steps:

1) Prepare Domain at Current Registrar: Remove the transfer lock from the current registrar and copy the "transfer authorization code" they provide you.

2) Start Transfer: Log into your GKG.NET account and go to:  https://gkg.net/transfer-in where you will type in the name of each domain you want to transfer, and then click on transfer.

3) Enter Transfer Authorization Code: Next the system will ask you to add the username for your GKG account and then the transfer authentication code provided by your current registrar.

4) Pay for Transfer: Next you will enter the payment method you want to use to pay for the transfer and start the transfer. We will pre-authorize the card for the payment amount but the payment will not be processed until AFTER the transfer is complete.

5) Transfer System Response: The system will check to see if the domain is ready for transfer and either tell you the transfer process has started or that the transfer was rejected by the current registrar,  If it is rejected it is because the payment pre-authorization was declined, the transfer lock is still on, or the transfer authorization code is not good any longer.

If the payment is rejected, try either correcting the payment information or use a new payment method.

For either of the latter two rejections, go back to the current registrar account and remove the transfer lock, or request a new transfer authorization code and start the process over.

6) Email from Current Registrar: Once the transfer process is started, watch for the authorization email from your current registrar. The email will ask you to either approve or reject the transfer. Follow the instructions in the email to allow the transfer to continue. If you have any questions about the email you received, send us a copy and we can help you interpret what it says. Make sure you check your spam folder for the email. After 5 days of no response the transfer will go through automatically.

7) Transfer Payment: Once the transfer is complete we will process the payment method we pre-authorized at the beginning of the process. The payment will say payment from GKG.NET.

Failed Transfers
If a transfer fails our system will void the payment you originally authorized. Please note that if you use a debit card, your bank may wait a while before they release the funds back into your account. That is an internal bank policy issue and we have no control over the timing.
